Desenho e validação da Escala de atitudes em relação ao comportamento financeiro

Resumo

O objectivo deste estudo era conceber uma escala curta para medir as atitudes em relação ao comportamento financeiro, daí tratar-se de um estudo instrumental. Com base na revisão da construção da atitude, foram propostos e avaliados por jurados peritos. Posteriormente, com as respectivas modificações, foi obtida uma escala final e foram inquiridos 501 jovens adultos em Caracas (Venezuela), onde a idade média era de 35 anos e 60% eram mulheres. Com base nas respostas de escala, foi realizada uma Análise dos Factores Exploratórios e de acordo com os indicadores de ajuste, a melhor estrutura de factores foi composta por 4 dimensões atitudinais: Gestão do Dinheiro, Poupança, Empréstimos e Impossibilidade. Consequentemente, as correlações com outras escalas utilizadas para avaliar a validade convergente e discriminante foram significativas (p<0.05), e a fiabilidade foi adequada de acordo com o Alfa de Cronbach (α>.60), tanto para a escala geral como para as dimensões. Assim, o instrumento tem indicadores psicométricos apropriados para a investigação, o que constitui uma primeira aproximação à medição da construção.
